Who will start where for the 2025 Austrian Grand Prix? Let’s take a look at the full F1 starting grid for Sunday’s race from the Red Bull Ring.

McLaren driver Lando Norris will start the Austrian Grand Prix from pole position after topping Saturday’s qualifying session at the Red Bull Ring.

Norris’s fastest time was a massive 0.521 seconds quicker than Charles Leclerc, with the Ferrari driver matching his best qualifying result of the season with second place.

Norris’s McLaren team-mate and F1 2025 championship leader Oscar Piastri will start third, with Lewis Hamilton enjoying a positive qualifying session to secure fourth on the grid.

The Mercedes of George Russell will start fifth, one place ahead of Racing Bulls driver Liam Lawson.

Red Bull driver and reigning four-time World Champion Max Verstappen will start a disappointing seventh having struggled with the balance of his RB21 before being caught out by a yellow flag in Q3.

Gabriel Bortoleto, the Sauber rookie, was another star of qualifying by securing eighth on the grid.

Russell’s Mercedes team-mate Andrea Kimi Antonelli and Alpine driver Pierre Gasly complete the top 10.

Elsewhere, it was disappointment in qualifying for Yuki Tsunoda and Carlos Sainz, who both fell in Q1.

Tsunoda’s difficult time continued at Red Bull’s home race, with Sainz suffering his third consecutive Q1 exit after recent disappointments in Spain and Canada.

Norris will go searching for his third victory of the F1 2025 season in Sunday’s race in Austria.

He currently trails Piastri by 22 points with 10 races completed.
