Toby entered the journalism sphere on the sports desk of his local newspaper in 2017, beginning in non-league football before becoming a regular in the press box at Arsenalâs Emirates Stadium. A lifelong sports fanatic and competitor, Tobyâs first love is racing. He spent his teens chasing the dream of professional cycling, lining-up alongside future World Champions and Tour de France stars before hanging up his racing wheels to pursue journalism. Since then, he has written for outlets such as MailOnline, UEFA and Sporting News. Tobyâs first F1 memory was Lewis Hamiltonâs âis that Glock?â moment but later high-drama battles featuring the likes of Daniel Ricciardo, Max Verstappen and Kimi Raikkonen hooked him for life. Toby joined the PF1 team in January 2023.
